In the past, organizations developed management plans to help reduce damage to building materials during construction. Following the appearance of mold and water intrusion as a significant threat to construction projects, construction hygiene plans began to emerge in the early 2000s. Today, sustainability plays a key role in most new construction and large-scale renovations projects. To aid in designing and constructing environmentally-friendly and healthier buildings, construction hygiene plans are becoming more recognized as a vital component of overall construction management.

This teleconference will help you understand the potential hygiene pitfalls that may be encountered and how the implementation of a construction hygiene plan can aid in improving indoor air quality conditions and reducing building material losses at construction sites. The key elements of construction of hygiene management plans will be detailed to provide you with greater insight as to their function and content. This teleconference will also greatly aid LEEDŽ accredited professionals in better understanding how indoor air quality and construction hygiene plans are a key component of the new LEEDŽ V3 Design and Construction and Operations and Maintenance rating systems.
