Multi-Prime

This delivery method includes more than one prime contractor on a particular project. The owner will have separate contracts with each prime contractor. The prime contractor is responsible for coordinating and delivering the work covered by its particular scope of work, but is not responsible for the entire project. A prudent owner will secure the services of a program manager to undertake a construction project using this delivery method. Coordination could be a nightmare if the owner does not have a competent party handling coordination.
