With the growth of USGBC and the widespread adoption of LEEDŽ principles across the construction industry, contractors are under more and more pressure to understand the environmental impacts of their business. Documentation of construction waste recycling and waste avoidance measures is now required on many new construction jobs. This teleconference will discuss the business case for managing and reducing waste from construction projects. You will learn how to document your waste stream and how to leverage transparency in managing waste to increase profitability and add to the bottom line. New technologies such as building information modeling, LEAN construction techniques and online waste tracking tools will be discussed as means of waste management and avoidance.
